Freeze-thaw Weathering
Freeze-thaw happens in cold places. The process that occurs in freeze-thaw weathering is that: first, a crack forms in a rock or mineral, then water goes into that crack. After that, at night it freezes, causing the crack to expand, later in the morning, the once ice in the crack turns back into a solid but there's more water. This method repeats until the rock or mineral finally breaks apart into pieces. Like in this diagram to the below.
