Chemical Weathering
The cause of chemical weathering is the rain water. It happens mostly where it is most likely to rain. The rain water will hit the rocks or minerals constantly and with the chemicals in them it would slowly start to break the rocks or minerals down. In a few years time, you would be able to see the reaction happening and after a while the rock will fall apart due to the constant hit of waters. To the left is an example of a statue before and after it had reacted to chemical weathering.
